Not a good day for Hoover

The Birmingham suburb of Hoover is being sued by a Mexican woman who asserts that the city's new Department of Homeland Security and Immigration exists "solely to police the Hispanic population" and that it has engaged in "a scheme that would force the migration of Hispanics out of Hoover" by means of "racial profiling, illegal searches, and unlawful incarceration."

The plaintiff wants to pursue the suit as a class action. Hoover's mayor, meanwhile, had no comment on the filing.

OK, OK, I admit my error: the seawall off the shores of Flomaton should have automated gatling guns in addition to the swimmer-impaling, rafting-popping spikes.

It's the only way Alabama can protect the virginal sanctity of its international borders.

This is going to be interesting.

Imagine, just for a moment, that this case actually goes forward, and testimony is given about harrassment of Hispanic immigrants in Hoover. There have been rumors about some really bad stuff happening, but no one outside the police department knows for sure what is happening.

This could get Ug-leee.
