Yee-haw, y'all

Alabama: Home to hog-dog rodeos and a Confederate flag flying 100 feet high as travelers approach the state capital.

Some days are better than others.

We shouldn't laugh, I know. But I live here, so I gotta. Rep. Cam whatever's comment about hog-dog rodeos is just so...perfect.

"It's like something you would see in a Third World country."

Has the Leg. picked a new state motto lately? I think we've got a winner.

I'd venture that Third World countries' animal-bloodsport betting systems aren't nearly as advanced as those in rural Alabama.

Welcome aboard, Liz. Do you have a blog, too?

I think "Some days are better than others" is a pretty good Alabama motto.

Thanks for the welcome, Alabamian. I enjoy your blog. I don't have one, myself. I spend way too much time reading blogs to come up with creative stuff of my own!

On the Chris Rock Show a few years back, he proposed several alternatives to the Confederate flag, one of which was a white flag with a huge saltine cracker in the middle. You have to love the satire.
